The Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve is walking distance along the beach for bird watching and fascinating walks along the Meon wetlands , treat yourself with a cup of tea and fine cakes at the Haven Tea rooms overlooking Hill Head harbour.
There is a wealth of activities all year round from sailing, sea canoing, kite and wind surfing to the Meon Valley and the Solent Way walks.
The national cycle network route two from Emsworth to Christchurch passing through Hill Head.
Historic Portsmouth with the National Monument of the Victory, Nelsons flagship,the Mary Rose and the ultra modern Spinakker tower to the East and to the West, Southampton and the river Hamble ,all within easy reach.
Portsmouth and Southampton have large shopping facilities, cinemas and theatres and there is dining by the waters edge at Gunwharf Quays and a number of secluded restaurants along the Hamble.
Marwell Zoo, Clarence pier Southsea , Manor Farm a Victorian working farm, Paultons adventure Park, Mini Golf, Horse/ Pony riding schools, and all the activities of the New Forest plus many more ( our local information folder is crammed full) of activities for adults and children.
The New Forest, Winchester , Chichester, the Isle of Wight and Hayling Island are all easily accessible from the cottage.
There is a friendly family pub along the beach 5 minutes walk and shops 5 minutes drive into Stubbington Village offering, banks, supermarket, bakery, butcher travel agents chemist and more.
